Paintings

Paint is my favourite medium and always will be! I mostly use acrylics, sometimes emulsion paint and occasionally gouache.  I paint onto canvas, Kraft paper, acrylic paper/board, wood, and most recently Khadi cotton rag paper which I love. Here is a mix of personal work and commissioned paintings!

Half Memory 1

Monotone acrylics and emulsion on block canvas.

A portrait of my mother that aims to explore the difficulties of remembering. Memory is based on fabrication and embellishment or taking things away from reality, hence this image has a rather mask-like or paper doll quality.

I entered the painting into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2014 and was so excited to get through almost to the end. Final status 'Selected - Not Hung'. So near and yet so far, but pleased to get this far!
